How many books has M.T. Zimny written?

M.T. has written and published four books and one short story. Her first trilogy, The Apex Cycle, is a three-book Young Adult superhero series. Her fourth book, SKALTERRA BY NIGHTMARE, is the first book in a planned YA portal fantasy duology. Her short story, SKALBROKEN, was originally published in the Blades for Hire anthology and is a magic heist story about postpartum depression set in the world of SKALTERRA BY NIGHTMARE. What ages are M.T.’s books suitable for?

The Apex Cycle is a Young Adult trilogy aimed at ages 13+, though strong readers may enjoy it at a younger age. It contains fantasy violence, death, and very little romance, but no “Adult Content”.

The Skalterra Duology is an upper Young Adult duology aimed at ages 15+. The first installment, SKALTERRA BY NIGHTMARE, contains fantasy violence, death, swearing, and very little romance. However, the upcoming sequel will expand on romantic themes, though there will be no “spicy adult content”.

Does M.T. do events?

Will M.T. read my fan fiction or look at my fanart?

M.T. loves receiving fanart of her characters and is always happy to see and share the art her readers create!

As for fan fiction, while M.T. loves that her books inspire other writers, she will not read fan fiction based on her books. M.T. hasn’t ruled out returning to any of her stories for future installments and wishes to work on those potential projects without any accidental influence from fan fiction that takes place in her worlds.

That said, M.T. will always encourage writers to write fan fiction based in her world if that is what they feel inspired to do!

Does M.T. utilize generative AI?

No, M.T. is staunchly anti-GenAI in creative spaces. All her art is commissioned from human artists or done herself. Her audiobooks are recorded by a human without the use of AI. Generative AI has no role in M.T.’s writing process.

It’s also worth noting M.T. will not promote or read any work that utilizes generative AI.
